2021 Update: SEAMAAC is continuing our Civic Engagement outreach through both socially distanced in-person field work as well as remote work. This includes but is not limited to door knocking, social distanced voter registration drives, phone banking, and text banking. Our Civic Engagement goals for 2021 are addressing the misinformation that targets communities of color, continuing to close the voter registration gap for marginalized communities, increasing voter turnout, and involving community members in the process of redistricting. We will continue to promote vote by mail and greater voting accessibility in Pennsylvania.

We are here to help our community! If you need help registering to vote or have questions about voting, call us at 215-346-6273.

Low-income Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) in Southeastern Pennsylvania have a history of low voter-turn out and civic engagement. SEAMAAC is changing that narrative through its nonpartisan Civic Engagement Program. In this program, SEAMAAC, a convener organization, conducts voter registrations, voter education, voter protection and Get Out the Vote activities with community partners throughout five Pennsylvania counties: Philadelphia, Montgomery, Allegheny, Bucks and Delaware. We envision a Pennsylvania with AAPI voters registered, voting and participating in the electoral process and building power and leadership in Pennsylvania.
