Growing Home Gardens Clean-Up Day

This year's Love Your Park Week is May 11-19, 2019! Love Your Park Week offers nine days of volunteer opportunities and special events that celebrate Philly’s parks. We're hosting a service day at the Growing Home Gardens! We'll meet at 8th and Emily St. Tasks include: removing trash and debris from the gardens, cleaning out yard waste, weeding, mulching decorative beds and potentially repairing damaged beds. Love Your Park: Mifflin Square Loves Reading!

Community Coffee Chat

Location: Vinh Long Coffee Shop, 2230 S. 7th Street, Philadelphia, PA

We'll be hosting a monthly coffee community chat every last Wednesday of the month. Our purpose is to create a space where businesses, residents and partners can informally come together to share their thoughts that can help create a better S. 7th Street commercial corridor for us all! Comcast Cares Day 2019
#ComcastCaresDay2019 was beyond fantastic!! We want to thank all of the volunteers who came out to help us add new flowers, circular benches and pick up trash around Mifflin Square Park and South 7th Street. Special thank you to Brian Roberts, CEO of Comcast, Jay Minzhi Chen, Comcast Cares Day leader from Comcast, Anders Morholt who was the bench designer and builder for the day, SEAMAAC Board members Kristina Chang (also a Comcast employee) and Tommy Choi as well as Councilman Mark Squilla.

Vendor Village Spring Kick-Off 2019
Thank you to everyone who came and joined us for this celebration of culture, community and food! We are so happy to have the SoPhiE food truck back for their 2nd official season at Mifflin Square Park. Friends of SEAMAAC Happy Hour
The Friends of SEAMAAC (FOS) are a passionate group working on the local level to advocate for the community, social justice and civic change. FOS will have events, volunteer opportunities and the chance to build connections with other members. Wednesday, April 4th was their very first happy hour! Thank you to everyone who attended. Philly Spring Clean-Up Day

Elders Lao and Bhutanese New Year Celebration
We had a great new years celebration full of lighthearted fun and delicious food at our Elders Gathering!

SoPhiE Returns to Love City
On Saturday, February 23rd, the SoPhiE food truck and Chef Yeni returned to Love City Brewing Co.
This was the truck's third time at the local brewery in Spring Garden.
It was another great night filled with Chef Yeni's Pangsit Gorang (crispy chicken wontons), Bihun Gorang (stir fried vegetarian noodles) and other yummy Indonesian plates.

Elders Lunar New Year Celebration
Although Lunar New Year officially begins next Tuesday, celebrations came early this year at our Elders gathering!
Our Elders had a delicious spread filled with colorful fried rice sculpted into koi fish shapes, shrimp and tofu spring rolls,
dumplings and more. We were proud and honored by the performances and homemade dishes
