JOB ANNOUNCEMENT 

JOB TITLE: SoPhiE Program Coordinator
DEPARTMENT:  Community Development
REPORTS TO: Director of Community Development
JOB SCHEDULE: Full-Time Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
SEAMAAC Inc. seeks an experienced full-time candidate to manage the day to day operations of its South Philadelphia East (SoPhiE) Food Truck Business Incubator Program. The candidate should have experience working with food establishment or catering services and working in community organizing or development. Experience driving larger delivery vehicles or food trucks is desired but not required for the position. This position will be responsible for daily management of the SoPhiE program, communication with chefs serving from the truck as their small business incubator, driving the truck to and from events, overseeing the budget of the SoPhiE program under the supervision of the Director of Community Development, and all other duties as required to manage the SoPhiE Program.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position. Bachelor’s degree preferred. one year experience working in a food establishment or catering. hold a valid food safety manager certificate or ServSafe food handler certificate. experience working on the food truck is a plus. experience managing community engagement programs is a plus. RESPONSIBLITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Manage the daily operations of the SoPhiE Food Truck Build out and manage the schedule of annual events. Apply for and ensure food truck receives all annual licenses, inspections, and certificates required for operation. Manage relationship with other vendors in Mifflin Square Park Vendor Village program. Keep food truck clean and organized by regularly cleaning truck and ordering and placing items in stock.
